This easy and classic Creamy Shrimp Alfredo pasta recipe will have you coming back for seconds. It is a flavorful, quick and easy recipe for those days you want something delicious for dinner but don't have to try too hard.
Boil a large pot of salted water for the linguine, follow instructions on package to cook until al dente. Add a ¼ tsp of oil to pot so the pasta doesn't stick. Drain and set to side. Save 2-3 oz of pasta water as well for the sauce later.
Prepare the Ingrediants
Dice ½ cup of onions and red bell peppers.
Wash spinach and cut into smaller pieces.
Use a pestle and mortar or a garlic press to crush/mince garlic cloves and set vegetables to the side
Clean shrimp with juice from ½ a lime and rinse with water
Prepare and Cook the Shrimp
In a small bowl, season shrimp with cajun seasoning, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, and a little bit of seasoned salt.
In a large deep pan, add a little olive oil and melt butter on medium-high heat, then add diced onions, peppers, and crushed garlic to pan.
Sauté the vegetables until the onions become translucent then add shrimp to the pan.
Cook shrimp until golden brown on both sides. Time will vary depending on size of shrimp and if it's raw or cooked shrimp, but it only takes a few minutes on each side.
Once cooked, remove shrimp from the pan and place in a bowl to the side.
Make the Alfredo Sauce
Add heavy cream to the pan and stir for a few minutes.
Sprinkle in the parmesan cheese into pan and stir to incorporate and melt the cheese until the sauce begins to thicken. Add a 1-2 oz of pasta water for additional flavor.
Lower heat to medium, add more seasonings to taste, then add spinach to the Alfredo sauce and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Combine, Serve, and Enjoy !
Add shrimp back into pan and stir.
Add linguine pasta to the pan, and mix until coated in the alfredo sauce.
Plate the Creamy Shrimp Alfredo paste on a plate and garnish with more Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes.
Serve and Enjoy!

Notes
It's best to serve the Alfredo pasta fresh, because second day Alfredo sauce can begin to separate, but it's still all the bit flavorful.
Enjoy with some garlic bread on the side for a more well-rounded dinner plate.
I prefer to use raw shrimp for the added flavor and I like to keep the tail on for more flavor, but do whatever makes you happy.
You can always adjust the seasonings to your own personal taste and liking.
This recipe works well with all types of pasta, linguine, fettuccine , or penne. Use what you have.
Using freshly grated cheese is always a added bougie bonus
Feel free to freestyle what veggies you want to add to the recipe. Throw in some broccoli if you're feeling fancy.
