is the ultimate snack, appetizer, and side dish. Depending on ripeness, it is savory or sweet. It's versatile crispy and delicious.

Green Plantains

Instructions
Wash green plantains.
Peel outer layer and then slice into 1 ½ inch pieces at an angle.
Soak in salt water for five minutes.
Drain and pat dry.
Heat oil in pot on medium heat or set up deep fryer
Fry plantains until light golden brown.
Remove and gently smash plantains with a plaintain masher, bowl, or spatula.
Fry in oil for second time until golden brown crispy.
Serve and enjoy.
