A proud 🇭🇹 Haitian girl from the East Coast who loves to make and taste food from around world 🌎. I’m on a mission to share my love for food and cooking and spread the beautiful side about Haitian culture and traditions through our delicious food. Welcome to Good Eats and Epis and to my kitchen, where we celebrate flavorful dishes and the art of crafting heartwarming and comforting home-cooked meal

My passion about food and cooking started in my mother’s kitchen, and blossomed as I got older and realized how comforting a home cooked Caribbean meal always feels. From spicy Griot to hearty Soup Joumou, Haitian cuisine has always held a special place in my heart. And being apart of the Haitian diaspora, it was one of the many things that tied me back to my roots. And like the name says, we love good, flavorful food, and spices on this side of the internet.

Epis is a Flavorful and Hearty Traditional Haitian green seasoning base, and I’m all about making and finding good eats everywhere I go. Like many of us during the quarantine era, I sought out new hobbies that would help my transition to living alone in my first big girl apartment go a little smoother. And a girl’s gotta eat, so I whipped out my phone camera and started documenting the journey. Now I have to admit, my first videos were a little chaotic and less than professional, but I definitely enjoyed the process.

Since then I’ve been growing my little corner on the internet and getting better not only at my cooking skills but also having more fun with the creative process. Once the world opened back up, I also tapped back into exploring the good eats at local restaurants and small businesses. My goal here is to share some of my favorite recipes and meals that’s easy for everyone to follow, but also give some recommendations of places and food you can try when there’s food at home but you don’t feel like cooking.
